Whanganui Summer Programme Trust

The Whanganui Summer Programme is now coordinated by a Trust set up in 2008 to take on this role formerly undertaken by the Department of Conservation.  The founding trustees are Ian Bell, Wendy Pettigrew and David Scoullar.  The Trustees would like to thank all who have been involved with the 2010 programme:

  • The partner organisations who have arranged the trips. Contact details for all these organisations are overleaf.  Many of the organisations have been involved with the programme since its inception some 20 years ago so are very experienced at running the events and are keen to share their knowledge with the participants.
  • Horizons Regional Council for their financial support which has enabled the programme to go ahead and for their involvement in a number of events.
  • Cohen’s Business Equipment who have provided the Eftpos facilities and cash register.
  • The Wanganui Chronicle who continue to publish the programme and give details of forthcoming events in the newspaper during January and February.
  • The Trustees of the Whanganui Riverboat Centre who welcomed the Summer Programme to its new base in 2009.
  • Kiwiwebs for hosting our website, accessed via www.wanganui.com the central website for information about the Wanganui area.

We hope you enjoy the 2010 Programme.  Feedback on this year’s programme will be welcome; just contact the Whanganui Summer Programme Trust at PO Box 402 Wanganui or c/o the Whanganui Riverboat Centre.
