DEPARTMENT OF CONSERVATION

Travel the River Road by bus to Pipiriki where we will catch a jet boat and make our way up the mystical Whanganui River to the Mangapurua Landing.  From there a short 45 minute walk into the Bridge to Nowhere where we will have lunch and learn more about the history of the bridge and the failed settlements of the Mangapurua Valley.  Bring warm clothing for the boat ride and sturdy footwear.
