NZ HISTORIC PLACES TRUST

We will travel up the Whanganui River on the MV Wairua to Hipango Park reserve which was once a popular destination for school, church and works picnics. Some tables are available for your BYO picnic lunch otherwise bring rugs to sit on and a jacket for the river trip. Note there is a steep walk uphill from the jetty to the Park.
